The hard-working dining staffs at boarding schools often feature special menus to make their students feel at home. For example, the dining staff at Phillips Exeter in New Hampshire cooks up to 200 pizzas and 75 pies per week, while also providing special meals and snacks for holidays such as Valentine's Day, on which students consume 21 gallons of hot chocolate. Many boarding schools also feature special meals on holidays such as Chinese New Year to make their international students feel at home and to introduce other students to the food of another culture. In this way, the dining hall is like another classroom that educates students about other cultures.
