It's truly amazing just how much technology has advanced over the last five years. Remember when a 'good' digital camera cost $1000 or more? Or VoIP was something geeks used? Five years ago wireless networking was a novelty though cell phones were proliferating exponentially. Now you can find wireless hot spots just about anywhere except the Arctic. Several major cities such as Philadelphia and San Francisco are installing wireless Internet connectivity throughout their areas.
So, go ahead. Update your school's technologies and save money which you can turn around and spend on rising energy costs.

I agree. I am amazed how much our VoIP has saved us money over the last 9 months. We recently looked at a system that will handle both traditional phone lines and VoIP lines
