School Of The Week: Exeter

Wednesday June 29, 2005
With more than 29,000 private schools to choose from, spotlighting one a week is not an easy task. My choice is purely subjective. My goal is to inform and to draw your attention to all sorts and conditions of private schools.
We begin with Exeter or Phillips Exeter Academy as it is known as formally. Nestled in the picturesque New Hampshire town of Exeter, the Academy is the town. Exeter enjoys an international reputation as one of the finest prep schools in the United States. It has a large student body too, slightly over 1000 students. Now you might think that a school like Exeter could simply coast along on its distinguished history and sterling reputation. Not Exeter! Even the unique feature of an Exeter education, the Harkness Table, has been updated. Explore Exeter's Web site and see for yourself what makes a great school even greater!

New Hampshire Schools A dozen or so fine schools to choose from.
Scholarships Scholarships are hard to find. Here are a few. Let me know if you discover any I have not listed.
