Comments: Brandeis Hillel Day School has two campuses:
San Francisco Campus
The San Francisco Gauss Campus is located in a suburban-type setting on two acres. The site includes the San Francisco Jewish Community Center Preschool and is next to Congregation Beth Israel-Judea. Completed in 1983, the campus added a new state-of-the-art building in 2002.
Facilities include large, bright classrooms; a 2,800-square-foot library; a large multipurpose room; an acoustically designed music room; a multimedia/technology seminar space; science and computer labs; a regulation-size gymnasium; two art studios; a learning resource center; and large playing fields.
Marin Campus
Located in a beautiful setting in San Rafael, our Marin Campus was completed in 1991. The attractive, multi-use campus is shared by BHDS, the Osher Marin Jewish Community Center, and Congregation Rodef Sholom. In 2007, the outdoor playing field was renovated to include a new turf sports field, an outdoor amphitheater, full-court basketball and sport court, new play structures, and an outdoor science teaching garden. The school also recently completed a spacious and bright new art studio.
In addition to the new field and art studio, the expansive and modern facility includes spacious classrooms for grades kindergarten through eight, a library/multimedia center, computer and science labs, a gymnasium, a theater, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and music room.
