Whenever I run across a school like this, it reminds me of the vision and determination founders of ancient schools such as Exeter and Andover or Kent possessed. The founder, Dr. Barbara Rountree is a well-respected innovator whose driving force is providing the best possible education for her clients. The fact that her school is located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, as opposed to some colonial village in the northeast further breaks the mold. A great educational experience is always tied to a gifted teacher. Gifted teachers gravitate towards schools where they can teach.
