Comments: New York Military Academy is a fully accredited, small military boarding school located about an hour from New York City on the beautiful Hudson River. NYMA was founded in 1889. The program includes JROTC, a college prep academic curriculum and a wide variety of sports. NYMA graduates matriculate to colleges and universities at home and abroad.

Comments: Oak Ridge Military Academy was founded in 1852. It was first accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in 1899. Oak Ridge prepares its students for college and life. Comments: Riverside Military Academy was founded in 1906. It offers a rigorous academic college preparatory program for some 300 young men. Supporting that program is the Center for Student Excellence where students learn time-management and organizational skills of great value in their later lives. The Academy is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is situated an hour north of Atlanta.

Comments: TMI-The Episcopal School of Texas is a college preparatory school for co-ed students in grades 6-12. The school was founded in 1893 by the Diocese of West Texas. Graduates include General Douglass MacArthur, numerous other generals, college presidents, leaders in business, sitting Congressional representative Lamar Smith and other remarkable men and women. The school offers rigorous academic programs in addition to its military program, the Corps of Cadets.

Comments: Valley Forge Military Academy provides a variety of college preparatory courses designed to expand students' thinking and develop the skills necessary to succeed at college level studies. The Academy is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Contrary to what you might think, most of VFMA's graduates matriculate to colleges and universities as opposed to military schools. The Academy, of course, is well-positioned to help aspiring service academy candidates gain admission. The school is located outside Philadelphia.
