Scholarships for Private School

There are a handful of organizations which give scholarships for private school tuition. Most of these are not-for-profit entities which have as their mission the goal of providing assistance to students from economically disadvantaged circumstances. The amount of the awards vary from modest to full tuition.

Arizona Independent Schools Scholarship Foundation

The Arizona Independent Schools Scholarship Foundation restricts its activities to the State of Arizona. There are a couple of conditions to its awards, the primary one being that the recipient must attend an independent school which is a member of NAIS.

Arizona School Tuition Organizations

These are organizations which channel funds allocated from Arizona's 1998 law governing funding of private schools.

Be a Prep Kid

Be a Prep Kid was founded in 2008. Yakim Manasseh R. Jordan and Virgil Alvarez are trying to make a difference by encouraging people to help pay for a private education for academically able young people.

BASIC Fund

BASIC Fund is a Bay Area organization which helps low income families with private school expenses.

B.E.S.T.

The Baltimore Educational Scholarship Trust (B.E.S.T.) helps African American children from low income families attend private school.

A Better Chance

A Better Chance was founded in 1963. It offers scholarships for students at over 200 member schools.

The BISON Scholarship Fund

BISON helps families in the Buffalo, New York area pay for a private K-8 education. BISON is available to families in Buffalo, Lackawanna, West Seneca, Cheektowaga, Kenmore, Amherst and the Town of Tonawanda.

Black Student Fund

The Black Student Fund helps African American students in the great Washington, DC area attend PK-12 independent schools.

The Central City Scholarship Fund

The Central City Scholarship Fund provides assistance to families in Kansas City wishing to send their children to Catholic schools.

Children's Education Fund (Dallas)

Children's Education Fund (Dallas) provides assistance to families and students in the Dallas, Texas area so that they can attend private schools.

Children's Scholarship Fund serves families and students nationwide.

The Daniel Murphy Scholarship Foundation (Chicago)

The Daniel Murphy Scholarship Foundation (DMSF) gives scholarships to high school for economically disadvantaged young people in the Chicago area.

Apogee Georgia School Choice Scholarship Fund

Apogee Georgia School Choice Scholarship Fund allows Georgia taxpayers to redirect some or all of their Georgia income tax dollars to provide scholarships for students wishing to attend eligible George private schools.

The Independent Scholarship Fund

The Independent Scholarship Fund (ISF) helps low- to moderate-income families in Contra Costa and Alameda counties with private school tuition.

Inner-City Scholarship Fund (Boston)

The Inner-City Scholarship Fund (ICSF) is an arm of The Catholic Schools Foundation, Inc. It provides scholarships to needy students within the Archdiocese of Boston.

Inner-City Scholarship Fund (New York)

Inner-City Scholarship Fund offers students from economically disadvantaged families in New York City the opportunity of an education at a Catholic school.

Latino Student Fund

The Latino Student Fund (LSF) helps provide K-12 students of Hispanic descent in the greater Washington, DC area with K-12 educations in private schools.

Prep for Prep

Prep for Prep is the brainchild of a group of New York City business leaders. It provides independent school educations for children of African American descent.

Scholarship Fund for Inner-City Children

Scholarship Fund for Inner-City Children provides students the opportunity to attend Catholic elementary and secondary schools in New Jersey's Essex, Hudson, Bergen and Union Counties.

Washington Scholarship Fund

Washington Scholarship Fund assists low income families in the greater Washington, DC area with private school educational expenses.
