Question: What Are Your Options When Your Child Is Wait Listed?
If you child is wait listed, it is not the end of the world. Many parents panic when their child is wait listed rather than admitted or rejected. Here are your options.
Answer: Don't pester the schools. If your child has been rejected or wait listed at all the schools to which he applied, then you must consider your other options. Calling the school to let them know of your continued interest is a good idea. But don't pester them. Let the admissions process run its course. You will know definitively within a few weeks whether he will be accepted.

Your Options

There are many schools which offer rolling admissions throughout the spring and summer. Meet with your consultant and develop a list of two or three schools which suit your needs and which your consultant feels are safe schools.

You should know by the end of April whether you child has been admitted at the wait listed schools. If he has not been admitted, apply to the schools you have identified.
