Summer should be lazy, particularly for kids who work so hard all year, but students can also engage in leisurely activities to keep their minds active and their skills sharp for the fall. For example, they can read well-written novels about private schools and use math games in the kitchen to keep their skills honed. Kids might just sign on for some of these activities; for example, parents may not need to push too hard to make kids willing to use fractions to bake cupcakes. Find more ideas to keep kids' minds active during the summer.
