Worcester, Massachusetts, a city 40 miles west of Boston that was once a hub of the Industrial Revolution, is home to several top colleges, including Holy Cross, Clark, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The city also boasts a number of independent and parochial private schools, including Bancroft School, which provides a tuition-free education for 9 students each year, and Worcester Academy, which boasts a top math curriculum and two Rhodes scholars. Holy Name Central Catholic Junior.Senior High School, another Worcester school, is currently building a $1.5 million wind turbine to reduce electricity use in central Massachusetts.
