JFK at Choate

Recent news reports suggest that in addition to being a prankster at Choate, a Connecticut boarding school he attended for high school, John F. Kennedy, Choate class of 1935, may have been inspired by his headmaster to write his famous "ask not" speech. While he was busy blowing up toilet seats, JFK may also have heard a series of sermons given by his headmaster, George St. John, in which the headmaster used phrasing similar to that JFK used in his inaugural address. Discover more about JFK's antic years at Choate and how they inspired him.
