Don't Forget Those Deadlines!

January 31 is not far off. That's one of the more common deadlines for private school admissions. Some schools have earlier deadlines, so circle those on your calendar.

Online applications are a wonderful thing. The problem is that we can be lulled into a false sense of security thinking that we can log in at the last minute and click submit. Leave yourself a couple of days grace. That way if your internet connection goes down or your laptop freezes, as so often happens just when you need things to work flawlessly, you won't be in a panic.

Don't forget to round up all those recommendations which you handed out a month or so ago. Were they mailed? Once the applications are submitted, forget about them until March.
