Why Are Boys Better In Science?

The Aeronautics Research Directorate (part of NASA) held a contest for the best design of an energy efficient plane. Sort of the DC-3 of 2050. Who were most of the applicants and winners? Boys, of course. Why are boys better in science and math than girls? The truth is that they are not. The problem is that girls are not exposed to math and science in a positive way. They need more and better role models. More about why girls need more encouragement here.
