Cellphone Novels?

Writing using texting on your cellphone has been a huge craze in Japan. Now I read reports of it catching on over here in the U.S. Imagine! An essay with 5 x 160 character paragraphs. But, if it gets students to write, I am all for it. I made my students write and write and write when I taught English. It is the only way to learn to write effectively.
