Metro New York Schools

Sunday August 12, 2007
I have read several articles in the New York Times recently about the influx of young families into the city. Where will they educate their children? Well, Manhattan is home to many famous old private schools such as St. Thomas Choir School and The Birch Wathen Lenox School. On Long Island you will find Chaminade High School in Mineola and Sacred Heart Academy in Hempstead. Up the Hudson River Valley schools such as The Masters School in Dobbs' Ferry and The Storm King School in Cornwall-on-Hudson offer idyllic settings and great educations. Here's the complete list.

The big apple and environs are home to some excellent private schools. Visit them virtually and you will understand why New York is still THE premier world class metropolis on this planet. One word of caution: start the search process well in advance. Places at most metro area schools are scarce. Choosing a School 101 guides you through the maze of steps needed to find the right private school.
