Not Every Montessori School is the Real Thing!

Friday August 10, 2007
Dr. Maria Montessori developed a style of teaching children which spawned a worldwide movement. The name Montessori attached to a school implies an enlightened, gentle and highly creative approach to learning. But be warned: not every school which claims to be Montessori is an accredited Montessori school. Visit the American Montessori Society's site for information on its 1,100 member schools.

This site also has listings of schools through the country sorted by state and city. If you don;t find what you are looking for, email me.
