Teen Suicide: Preparing for the Unthinkable

Not sure what prompted me to watch Permanent Record last evening. But I did. As you probably know, it's a 20 year old teen flick about suicide. It drives home how much guilt and despair suicide leaves behind. It reinforces the need for everybody to heed the warning signs.

Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among 15 to 24 year olds. It's an educator's worst nightmare. It scatters guilt just about everywhere. Most of the time it could have been prevented if only the warning signs had been heeded.
