Atlanta Schools

Thursday February 23, 2006
If you live in a major metropolitan area such as Atlanta, you will have a wide range of private schools from which to choose. U.S. Schools is the place to start when you are looking for a private school. I have listed about 4,500 schools which have their own Web sites. For information about all 30,377 private schools I recommend a visit to the NCES site. It's part of the Federal Education Department. Tip: it's not the friendliest site to navigate simply because it seems to have been designed for statisticians.

Thinking about sending your child to private school? Start with Choosing a School 101. Make sure that you start the process at this time of the year for entry in fall 2007. That's right. It's basically too late to get in to most schools for fall 2006.
