Single Sex Education

Those of you who know me understand that I am not a chauvinist. However, I do believe that many boys and girls benefit from a single sex education. So I was intrigued by an article in The Principal's Office entitled Why Kids Are Bored. Turns out the original article Warning: Boys at Play comes from CNET. Well worth a read. It made me think back to my childhood. Imagine playing hockey and riding bikes without helmets. But we did and we thought nothing of it.

Back to single sex education. Studies have shown that boys and girls do indeed learn differently. They mature at different rates. So it stands to reason that the teaching settings and styles ought to be different. More here.
