The Benefits of Teaching Grammar

Wednesday October 12, 2005
I taught English a few years ago in a school where the text was John Warriner's English Grammar and Composition. Trust me! My students knew their grammar after several years of learning Mr. Warriner's rules. Their writing skills improved too as that text lays out plenty of practice.

It's time we got back to basics. We need to give our students a solid foundation in language arts. Do you agree or disagree? Let us all know by posting your thoughts in the Private Schools Forum.
